      We have an omegameter 700smd and it requires 8 of the filter cartridges. They need to clean to at least 120 Mohm-cm. Anyone have any experience using the Scientific Solutions 0301188 in this type of tester ?

        Yeah, those are the ones you want. They will clean to 220 Mohm-cm if you want. They work very well. Be careful of filters from other suppliers as some can’t handle the alcohol and end up cracking and then you have a real mess to clean up gallons of test solvent all over the flow. Make sure to change all eight of the filters at the same time and get the o-ring seals along with the filters as you should replace these at the same time.

          I do not know about the o-ring seals. Where are they and how many do I need?

            Some people call them o-rings while others call them washers and they are rubber and you need one for each end of the filter. You have 8 filters, so you need 16 of the washers. I think Scientific Solutions sells the filter with or without the washers, and I can’t recall the exact part numbers, so you will want to check with them. When you remove the older filters, the washers will probably be in the fittings. So you will want to remove the old washers and replace them with the new ones. The older washers may be good, but over time they will dry out because of the alcohol – so just replace them and save yourself a potential headache by avoiding leaks.

              0301128 is part number of DI Columns only
              0301288 is part number of DI Columns with washer (O-ring) set

                  Thanks to you both!

                  The fellow here who use to maintain this machine retired, so I am a newbie.

                  Do I also need to do a chemical test ?
                  I read some other discussions that talked about doing this and I see the machine has a built-in routine, but I was not sure when I am suppose to do this test. Is it before or after I replace the filters?

                    Yes, you should definitely do a chemical test after changing filters. Generally you are suppose to do a chemical test routinely to be sure the machine is working correctly. You will need some #3 Standardizing Solution and a pipette or syringe.

                      For the chem test, get this
                      0301186 bottle of the #3 fluid
                      0301199 syringe to extract from the #3 bottle and dispense into the test cell
